Italy Photo Workshop

I am very excited to announce that I’m collaborating with the Director of the Vasa Project Roberto Muffoletto in planning a Photography Workshop in scenic and historic Sardinia for Easter week (April 1-April 8th) 2012. If participants want to stay longer it will only be an additional 30 euros per day. Last year I did my Art of Seeing workshop in beautiful Southwestern Ireland and next year we are off to photograph the Easter week processions and celebrations in and around Sardinia. The workshop is still in the planning stage, but will be open to the first ten people who sign up to not only photograph in and around Sardinia, but also to learn more about photography and seeing in a more visual, creative way.

All skill levels are welcome to sign up for this workshop.

The Art of Seeing workshop will include daily formal photography instruction geared specifically to each photographer’s skill level, in addition to personal time to meander along the beautiful countryside and visit the local villages. There will also be excursions to a majestic waterfall, salt lakes with flamingos, ancient castles, a 3000 year old stone tower and a Byzantine church. A primary focus of the workshop will be photographing the Easter celebrations, rituals and choir processions in and around the villages of Sardinia.

The cost will be 900 Euro’s that will include 7 nights lodging at the Il da Paola e Giorgio B&B, breakfast and most meals, transportation to all events and activities while in Sardinia, Italy and the workshop itself. The actual workshop will include technical and conceptual instruction geared to the participants skill level, daily critique sessions and an ongoing workshop blog that showcases all participants work.
